recent refurbishment, convenient location, spacious rooms
No lift access to upper floors!!! The bar room is under refurbishment. It’d be great to have it open , as options in town won't always suit all tastes!!!

would definitely recommend for a transient visit
Spacious single room, comfortable bedding with quality linens, and a lovely hot breakfast served with a good choice including porridge and smoked salmon, made my stay enjoyable and convenient, especially given its proximity to the train station, just 100 km from the nearest airport.
It is perfect.

Great location with a comfy, well-furnished room. The peaceful ambiance in the evening allowed for a truly relaxing experience. Friendly staff provided a decent breakfast cooked to order, which added a nice touch to the stay. the bathroom in my room felt slightly dated and could use some updates. Despite the relatively high rate—which is common in this area—it was worth it for the overall experience.

We had a lovely stay at this place, especially enjoying the clean and cozy family room. The staff were fantastic, helping us carry our bags and even giving us great tips for our ferry trip to the Isle of Skye, which we truly appreciated.
My kids wished for some kind of play area for our downtime.

The room was super comfy with a generous size, especially for a single. Loved the comfy chair by the window and the big bathroom with lots of natural light. The tea tray with cookies was a nice touch. A bit noisy from the street view, but it wasn't a huge deal. Just a note, there's no lift and you have to climb stairs, but it wasn't too bad. Everyone was really friendly, which made it feel cozy.

I loved that I was given ear plugs for the chirpy seagulls and the wifi was super fast during my stay! The cozy lounge and lovely garden are perfect for unwinding after a long day. Just a heads up, the room got a bit warm, but that didn’t spoil my experience at all. 🌟

The view from the room offers fantastic sights of the harbor, especially bright and early at sunrise. The recently refurbished single room features a spacious, spotless bathroom with a generous shower cabin, making for a comfortable retreat after a long day.
Being centrally located has its downsides. the noise from sea birds at dawn and the nearby train station can be quite disruptive, though ear plugs are supplied, which helps a lot. Parking is a bit of a hassle – it's limited and requires a reservation, which should be planned ahead. Though breakfast choices were decent, the cooked options could have benefited from a wider selection, perhaps featuring local fish.

I spent one night in a Standard Twin Room at Marine in Mallaig. The cleanliness stood out right away, everything felt fresh. The room itself was comfortable, but it lacked a mini fridge, which would've been helpful for drinks. The staff, especially the receptionist, were friendly and went out of their way to recommend nearby restaurants. they actually pointed us to some great local places for dinner. the shower system was tricky to figure out, which made it a bit challenging to enjoy a comfortable shower. The breakfast area felt a bit cramped, but the local seafood breakfast definitely made up for it. Location was ideal for catching the early ferry. despite a few minor inconveniences, I would definitely consider coming back because the charm of Mallaig shines through here.

Oh, the local fish is a proper treat! Cornerstone Restaurant and The Fishmarket serve up fresh catches that'll make your taste buds dance. The room was comfy, and the staff were dead friendly, making it hard to not feel at home.
Now, I wouldn't say it’s a dealbreaker, but the breakfast area felt a wee bit cramped, and a mini fridge in the room would’ve been a nice touch. Still, the charm of Mallaig shines through.

A Cozy Retreat with Stunning Views
We enjoyed our stay, particularly in room 17 with its lovely railway view. The breakfast offered customization which was delightful. Although the noise from adjacent rooms was noticeable, the location near the station can't be beat. Highly recommend exploring nearby eateries for dinner!
